Biomass

DG Trees is dedicated to maximizing the recycling of our waste products from our activities across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, and the South East.

Recycling is the most effective method for protecting the environment. At DG Trees, we prioritize recycling and reusing everything we can. One approach we employ is converting waste wood into wood chip, which serves as biomass fuel.

Biomass boilers and wood-fueled energy systems require a sustainable source of fuel. Unlike fossil fuels such as coal or gas, which deplete the planet’s natural resources and emit harmful chemicals and gases, biomass energy relies solely on organic materials like wood chip. This is a renewable resource that also emits fewer carbon emissions compared to fossil fuels.

Our team has extensive experience across the UK, gaining valuable local insight while working throughout the county and adjacent areas.

Allowing organic materials to decompose naturally can harm the environment. Decomposing wood becomes damp and begins to release carbon dioxide and methane, both of which have adverse environmental impacts. By recycling waste wood into wood chip, we offer a cost-effective and sustainable solution for landowners to reduce waste and significantly cut carbon emissions.

At DG Trees, we support your use of biomass for burners and boilers through our robust recycling strategy. This includes not only producing wood chip but also drying it in-house.

We offer wood chip biomass fuel in various grades, each optimized for specific uses. Our wood chip is available to G30 and G50 standards and holds BSL approval, ensuring quality and sustainability. Our product consists of small grain wood chips, ideal for smaller furnaces and biomass energy systems. Conversely, larger furnaces necessitate bigger wood chips.
